Thabane named acting chair of HEI

Lehana Thabane has been appointed the acting chair of the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (HEI) of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

His four-month term starts on July 1, 2019 as the selection committee determines the next chair.

Thabane is a professor of HEI, and an associate member of the departments of pediatrics and anesthesia, and the schools of nursing and rehabilitation science. He is also a senior scientist at the Population Health Research Institute (PHRI).

He has served as associate chair of HEI since 2009.
